<p>Pre task of the third grade was to explore different places in schoolyard&nbsp;using different senses. Hw you hear this place? Is it more noisy that other place? How see and feel that place? And how works touching?</p> <p>After the sense&nbsp;study they draw the maps in a groups&nbsp;how they felt the places with different senses.</p>

<p>The 5th grade students started their pre-task with mapping the whol schooryard. What kind of trees, lamps, play equipments? How many? What is condition? What kind of lanscape there is? Where all the stormwater&nbsp;is pouring?</p> <p>And all these they marked and draw to the maps.</p>

We had a meeting with a headmaster and teachers and artists whose workshops are relate to the schoolyard. We were discussing about continuation of this project. In the schoolyard we will have also two art workshops. The first one started on april and it consist of recycled videotape artwork above the entrance of the school building. The other workshop is concrete artwork. These workshops will take part pupils and workshops will be sister projects for this original schoolyard project. Beginning of Autumn we will have a meeting with a house manager and man who is responsible for fundamental improvement of schoolyards.

<p>First year pupils were working on with this kind of tasks. Find from your schoolyard: 1) The most nicest thing or place 2) The most dangeroust place 3) A place which is not nice and needed to be fixed up. What it could be? Mark these places on your map which you are carrying all the way your explore. Think why you are choosing these places. Their teatcher Jaana was photographing all the places which pupils were pointed out from the schoolyard.</p>

<p>First, third, fifth and sixth grades &ndash; participated in the school yard design work. At the beginning every participating class got the pre-tasks to do run by teacher.</p>

And not pauses. That&rsquo;s was funny!&nbsp;There is TV, blackboard, disco ball, sofas, tables, chairs, snacautomatic, potted plants, statues, computer, boards and colorful floor.</span></div> <div style="margin: 0cm 0cm 10pt"><span style="line-height: 115%; color: #4bacc6; font-size: 16pt">Now, I must be waiting, that we making new work. <p>&nbsp;</p> <div>This is my own story for to day. I like it ,&nbsp;it was&nbsp;so funny day! <span>J</span> My story&nbsp;is telling an active school courtyard. My group are were industrious! (And me, of course!!! :D) Teacher was Eini Vasu. She is so funny! ;)</div> <div>&nbsp;</div> <div>Well, maybe it is good time starting the REAL story!</div> <div>OK, first we have brainstorming. We planned in groups all the groups plannings and we all add some things, what we want or need in school. There is a picture how my group`s recipe look like.</div> <div>&nbsp;</div> <div>After this phase, we began to build up the models. We had about 1 hour time to build the models. <div>We made bike shelter. In our team we had three pupils. We haven`t&nbsp;so much time,&nbsp;so we made all&nbsp;quickly.</div> <div>First was the brainstorming.&nbsp;We all thinked great ideas to the bike shelter. We got a lot of ideas, just like: Radios, lights, surveillance cameras&nbsp;and much more.</div> <div>Then was the funniest.&nbsp;We builted&nbsp;a model of the bike shelter. We had good materials, so the result was wonderfull!</div> <p>I really waiting the next work. Bye!</p>

<div>We had three tables with a three different design tasks. &nbsp;The 9 pupils in three groups changed the table about every fifteenth minutes and every time they got a new subject with a new task.&nbsp;They changed the tables four times. The design subjects were a bike shelter and an outdoor studying and hanging place and an active school courtyard.</div> <div>Design tasks were:</div> <ol type="1"> <li>1. Brainstorming on the tables</li> <li>2. Listing ingredients which they would like to have in their design task</li> <li>3. Cooking description, how to put ingredients together to get the good result</li> <li>4. Illustration and title of a recipes</li> <li>&nbsp;</li> </ol> <div>We used this method to find out lot of ideas and to get into to the subject very quickly. And it really worked. Next time we will go trough the material which we have done before with other pupils and teachers. Also we&rsquo;ll go out to explore school environment. Before all that we wrote down results of recipes workshop.</div>

<p>After the sense study pupils started skechig and building the models. Places where you can meet new friends more easily&nbsp;in the school yard.</p>

<p>After mapping the 5th grade students&nbsp;started sketching and building the models from the new schoolyard. In the end they buildt up their dream schoolyard scale model in scale 1:200.</p>

<p>After interviewing the 6th grade pupils started to design school yards with different point of views.</p>

<p>The starting task was to built two models to cardboards 15cmx15cm. One of a nice place and other of an unpleasant place. The places didn&rsquo;t need to be in the schoolyard. Every pupil built up these two models. In the end we combined all the models forming together new ideas for the schoolyard.</p>

<div><span>WE made works at 3 hour... and no BREAKS... Haha that was still fun. </span></div> <div><span>We have ten people in our workshop.</span></div> <div><span>And 3 groups:) and 3 people in one group... exept one group, there was 4 =D</span></div> <div><span>Ready works go to our school hall.</span></div> <div><span>Good thing was we have much stuff to do that and good teatcher: Eini Vasu. <p>We sent our schoolyard project works to the Ampiainen Remix competition. 2 of works got success and those where The jumping place over the water and The hanging place.</p>

<p>In the end we&nbsp;collected all scale models, sketches and drawings to exhibition. And so every school pupil, teacher and staff could see what we create.</p>
