What is Fantasy Design in Community?
Fantasy Design is a European design education project that supports learning with design and promoting design methods in formal education and informal learning. In this project children and young people are designers. They work locally and beyond borders of geography, state limits or language in design projects that deal with their own environment.
Two international conferences disseminate the methods and results and the project ends with an exhibition of design projects and the learning processes. The coordinator of Fantasy Design - Children in community is Design Museum Helsinki. The co-organisers are Design Museum Gent (Belgium), University College Sealand (Denmark) and Museo Nacional de Artes Decorativas (Madrid/Spain).
